A Message from Chief Minister Punjab

I’m delighted to welcome you to the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program,” a cause that is very dear to my heart. Our goal is straightforward yet profound: to give every family in Punjab access to affordable housing options. Owning a home is more than just having a roof and walls.

Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program 2025

Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program

Chief Minister Punjab’s “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” Program is a unique endeavor. The goal of this program is to significantly advance Punjab’s housing market by offering 100,000 reasonably priced homes and apartments to qualified citizens in all parts of the state. The “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Program” will help low-income groups who are now living in unofficial housing or rented buildings acquire their own homes. With three execution models, this program will provide 100,000 affordable homes throughout the province in four and a half years.

The program is administered by the Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department (HUD&PHED), while the Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency is the executing agency.

Expected Outcomes of ACAG Program

  • Better living circumstances for low-income households
  • Decreased slum living and overcrowding.
  • Improved availability of necessities (electricity, water, and sanitary facilities).
  • Improved security and safety in the community.
  • Favorable social influence on the intended recipients.
  • Improved community development and social cohesiveness.
  • Approximately half a million jobs would be created, and the economy would benefit from the construction of 100,000 homes, both directly and indirectly.
