Possess a residence in any Punjabi district and a family income of less than Rs 300,000 per month (Affidavit Required) (Affidavit Sample Download)

From the third to the eighth semester, the applicant must be enrolled in selected disciplines at selected universities or colleges. This scholarship program is also open to students who are currently enrolled in their second through fifth years of MBBS and BDS.

Honhaar Scholarship Program Phase 2

One of Pakistan’s biggest scholarship programs, the Honhaar Scholarship Program, awards 30,000 PKR in grants each year to students in 68 different fields. It includes 359 colleges, 12 medical and dental schools, and 65 public and private universities. The focus of this program is educational progress. The second round of the Honhaar Scholarship Program is expected to begin on December 4.

Honhaar Scholarship Program for Other Province Students

Phase 2

Phase 2 of the Honhaar Scholarship The plan, which was announced by the chief minister of Punjab, is to offer scholarships to 2,570 students, 637 of whom are from minority communities and 1,660 of whom are female. A scholarship of PKR 120,000 will be awarded annually to 30,000 students in total. Distributions from important universities, such as the University of Punjab, have already started. In Lahore alone, 1,886 scholarships are being granted as part of this program’s second phase.

Honhaar Scholarship Provisional Merit Lists Phase-I

The 2024 Honhaar Scholarship Program The program committee updates provisional merit lists. Documentation and monthly family income verification in accordance with qualifying requirements are prerequisites for inclusion on the merit list. Interviews and document verification will be carried out by the relevant institutional scrutiny and verification committee as well as the provisional scrutiny and award committee.

Honhaar Scholarship Interview Schedule

Every chosen applicant whose name appears on the Provisional Merit List is instructed to show up for the interview and final verification of their educational background and proof of family income. Details on the interview schedule can be found in the corresponding merit lists. One of Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s pledges to guarantee excellent education for worthy youngsters in Punjab is the Honhaar Scholarship program. Every year, 30,000 students from 68 districts will receive scholarships under the Honhaar Scholarship Program.

Scholarships will be awarded to 50 students from Black Sector University and 131 graduates in 16 major subjects. Applications for the Honhaar Scholarship are currently closed. Under the direction of Special Secretary HED Mr. Munib-ur-Rehman, the Scrutiny and Award Committee of the Chief Minister Honnahaar Scholarship program met today at the Higher Education Department (HED), Lahore. Fair and transparent examination procedures were discussed in the discussion. Students who qualify for the scholarship will be notified soon.

The chosen students will get Rs. 130,000 annually from the Honhaar Scholarship Program, which will cover their costs for eight years. Over the following four years, the initiative will grow to serve 4 million students, with a goal of awarding 20 million scholarships.

Another initiative for Honhaar Youth by The Chief Minister Punjab

With great pleasure, Chief Minister Punjab has announced the “HONHAAR UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM,” another historic step for Punjab’s bright youngsters. She is adamant that deserving kids should not be denied access to higher education because they cannot pay it. The Punjabi government would pay for undergraduate degree programs in 68 specific fields at all 50 public sector universities, 16 medical colleges, 131 HED graduate colleges, and highly regarded universities like the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), @LUMS, @FAST National University, @COMSATS, @NUST, and seven other top private sector universities in Punjab.

The government would spend more than PKR 7 billion this year alone to fund the 30,000 scholarships that will be given out annually. Over 120,000 students will be served by the Honhaar Scholarship Program over the next four years, with an aggregate commitment of nearly PKR 130 billion over the next eight. The Punjabi government views this as an investment rather than a cost in order to support equity and higher education for young people who are gifted but deserve it.
